Is it difficult to get a job with the US Government

Is it difficult to get a job with the US Government?

There are many reasons why it may be difficult to get a job working for the Federal Government. First off, there is a lot of competition. Why? When you work for the Federal Government, most jobs pay above average than a job in the private sector. In addition to good compensation, there are also great benefits. This includes Government health care, retirement and pension plans and generous time given for family leave, vacation and sick pay. When a government job is posted on USAJOBS.gov, you must understand that you are not the only person applying for that job. There are hundreds of people applying for that same job. However, this shouldn’t discourage you from not applying. Many of those people will be denied just from there application. They may not meet certain qualifications, or they may have filled out their application wrong and formatted their resume wrong so they will not be considered for the position. That is what this site is for to help you understand the right way to apply so you will have an advantage above the other applicants.
